Q

Do I need to do anything prior to the cleaning?

A

What to Expect On Cleaning Day:

Thank you for choosing Your Window Cleaning Company! Our goal is to give you sparkling clean windows with superior customer service. This brief note is to inform you of what you may anticipate from our company’s service. Please contact us at any time if you have any questions or concerns.

Prior to our arrival:

  • Please remove any delicate objects & furniture from or around your windows. Please remove screens if we are not cleaning the inside of your windows so that we will have ready access to the exterior glass.

What do we mean by “all windows and doors cleaned”?

  • We will clean the estimated glass to a spotless condition.

Our normal cleaning solution will not remove physical damage: paint specks,
Silicone, caulk or water / chemical stains. These more detailed services are available upon request for an additional charge; contact US prior to the scheduled cleaning.

What do we mean by “wipe sills”?

  • We will wipe down your sills and tracks with a towel to remove excess dirt and debris. Please note: Some customers prefer a detailed cleaning of their window tracks (scraping and vacuuming). Track detailing service is available for an additional charge; please contact US prior to the scheduled cleaning.

What do we mean by “complimentary screen cleaning”?

  • We will remove the screens from their tracks and wipe them down with a detergent dampened cloth. Screen detailing service is available for an additional charge; please contact US prior to the scheduled cleaning.

Q

You do not give quotes over the phone... why?

A

We like to look at your home because every house is different. We want to make sure that we bring out the correct equipment to reach every window. We are also concerned with your landscaping and we do not want to damage any trees or shrubs.

Q

What do you use as SOAP?

A

We joke with many customers about the cleaning agent we use, but it is very simple. We use DAWN detergent. We do not use much. We use very little about the SIZE of a dime in 1 1/2 gallons of water. It produces very little suds and it cuts through any grease and dirt.

Q

What is Hard Water Stains?

A

Hard water stains result usually from a sprinkler system or when watering the grass. The sprinkler water hits the glass. Having the water hit the glass and drying cause the impurities in the water to dry on the glass. Over a period of time, these accumulate and the stain, usually white in color, is difficult to remove. In the old days, the cleaner would use an oven cleaner because of the acid in the cleaner. Today, we use an environmental friendly cleaning agent that will not harm the window frame or the landscaping. The cleaner will place the cleaning agent on a pad of steel wool (grade 0000) and he will scrub the window. This is hard work and it will remove the stain.

Q

What if it rains?

A

First of all, if the television weatherperson says it is going to rain tomorrow and you have your window scheduled to be cleaned, DON'T CALL. We will call you the next morning after we check the radar and most importantly, look outside the window. We will call you if there is a chance and we will ask you "HOW LUCKY DO YOU FEEL?" We will not clean your windows if you do not want us to, we will reschedule.

Rain will not hurt clean windows. Your window will still shine from the street even if it rains within hours after we clean them. You will not notice anything.
